The purpose of our Silent Auction is to Raise Money and Awareness to our Earth Month Partners: TreesCharlotte and AVEDA - Earth Month Partner.

Modern Salon & Spa supports Earth Month! April 2015, we have partnered with TreesCharlotte and AVEDA Earth Month to raise money and awareness for the importance of trees in our community, and clean water.

TreesCharlotte
Trees clean our air, reduce storm water run-off, cool our streets, reduce energy use, enhance wellness, increase property values, and give us beauty.
Charlotte has one of the best urban forests in the US. TreesCharlotte’s vision is preservation of a healthy tree canopy for generations to come. TreesCharlotte is a public/private collaboration dedicated to planting up to 15,000 trees per year. We also educate Charlotte's residents on the importance of the canopy and ways to plant and preserve trees.
The first $1000 raised will be donated to TreesCharlotte.

AVEDA - Earth Month Partner
The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation ("CRF") was formed in 1997. It is an award winning 501(c)(3) non-profit operating in the 24 counties of the Catawba-Wateree River watershed in North and South Carolina. CRF seeks to maintain its independence by remaining a member supported non-profit organization with administrative headquarters in Charlotte, NC. CRF is not a government agency. We train and lead six locally based Covekeeper Programs on Lake James, Lake Hickory, Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, Lake Wylie and Lake Wateree. Our Lake Norman Covekeepers manage an Island Keeper Program that has removed trash from Lake Norman's 42 islands since 2002. We also have trained volunteers through our Covewatcher, Streamwatcher, Waterwatcher and Muddy Water Watch programs. In addition, we operate a youth kayaking program and lead periodic family paddling trips. We are licensed by the Waterkeeper Alliance, Inc.
