GUSAFoundation is growing and partnering with more schools and community centers this spring. In addition to providing coaches, our programs provide snacks/meals, equipment, clothing and transportation for children throughout the year. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support our outreach programs. Additional monetary donations made through this site or our website are tax-deductible. (Please understand that winning bids below the fair market value are not eligible for a tax deduction.)

About Greensboro United Soccer Foundation

Greensboro United Soccer Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to community outreach in Greensboro, NC. We believe that soccer is a powerful tool to engage, encourage and empower youth to take an active part in their development both on and off the field. Therefore we provide programs for children from elementary through high school and beyond.

The Foundation serves over 350 students each semester across numerous community partners and schools. In addition, we are responsible for 5 weeks of free summer camp for kids across the county. These camps will range from 75-400 children depending on the partner agency.

Throughout the year, we partner with local schools, community groups, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Center for New North Carolinians to provide soccer, mentoring, academic assistance and other needs for children of all ages. This Fall we created our Soccer and Studies tutoring program to provide the younger children in our Saturday Soccer Outreach at Presbyterian Church of the Cross with tutoring and enrichment activities. In addition to our after school and weekend soccer programs, we train high school students to become coaches and role models through Project Effort's Youth Leadership Corps. These young men and women take on leadership roles helping to run our programs. We also actively seek to help our high school aged children work and volunteer in other areas of the community. Our referee program supports and mentors young adults to work with Greensboro United and NCYSA to earn valuable skills and an income as a young referee.
