AVES Day at the Races

We are excited to announce the partnership of Sycamore Athletic Boosters and Sycamore Junior High PTO for a combined virtual fundraising event, ‘AVES Day at the Races’ on Saturday, May 1, 2021 which will include an ongoing online silent auction, virtual Derby Dash run (5K/2K) and Derby themed party kits.

The money from this one fundraiser will support BOTH organizations. Participation in sports & clubs is so important, especially during a pandemic. It promotes social relationships, teamwork and cooperation,
leadership skills and time management. Studies show that students who participate in activities at school have a greater academic success rate.

This event will fund a broad range of athletic programs at Sycamore High & Junior High Schools. Plus fund shortfalls in School Board approved athletics and assist over 100 teams where coaches identify
specific needs. At SJH, it will also support over 20 extra- curricular clubs and activities.

The Sycamore Athletic Booster's mission is to raise money to support athletics at Sycamore Jr High and High School. We help fund shortfalls in school board approved athletics and annually assist over 100 teams where coaches identify specific needs.

The Sycamore Junior High Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is made up of parents, teachers, staff and caregivers. Membership is open to anyone wishing to improve the school environment and experience for Sycamore Junior High students. The PTO supports programs and clubs for students, student recognition programs, staff appreciation, educational assemblies, staff requested materials, technology and so much more.
