Youth Renewal Fund is the philanthropic and strategic funding partner for Darca schools in Israel, investing in an innovative education throughout Israel’s most underserved communities. Darca, Israel’s number one ranked network of schools, operates 47 high schools and learning centers, and serves over 27,000 students. Darca’s methods are based on academic excellence, commitment to high achievement, an innovative approach to education and inspiring leadership.

These methods are working. Only ~60% of Israeli students passed the Bagrut matriculation exam in the 2020/2021 school year, making them eligible to apply to university. 93.5% of Darca students passed this exam. Darca students are not only outperforming their peers and the national average, but they are achieving successes at the same rate or higher than those students in the wealthier communities. Just by attending a Darca school, students are doubling their chances of post-secondary education.
