About Our Auction

READ ME FIRST: The annual Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association Symposium must be online March 20th, 2021 due to the Covid restrictions. A component of this year's Symposium is an online auction and Dwarf Tomato sale. The Symposium annually provides quality horticulture information as well as raising funds for the organization. The profit from our symposium helps to provide Horticulture Scholarships to local college students.

This tomato sale is unique because the plants offered for sale are dwarf tomatoes that are part of "The Dwarf Tomato Project". A new Yellow tomato called "Carolina Gold" has been added which is not a dwarf but LeHoullier famous. One of our 2021 Symposium Guest Speakers, Craig LeHoullier is a vital contributor in developing theses new dwarf varieties. This group of all- volunteer, amateur, hobby gardeners was led by Craig LeHoullier (NC) and Patrina Nuske-Small (Australia). The registration link for the Symposium and to hear Le Houllier speak can be found on the Facebook page for our CC Master Gardener Spring Symposium at https://www.facebook.com/CCEVMGA. Please register by March 17th for the symposium.

TOUCH THE PHOTO AND YOU WILL SEE ADDED INFORMATION ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR TOMATO. ONCE YOU SELECT AND HIT THE PURCHASE BUTTON YOU CAN THEN GO TO THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE SCREEN AND YOU CAN ADD MORE VARIETY OF TOMATOES BY CLICK THE "RETURN TO AUCTION" BUTTON AND ADD TO YOUR TOTAL PURCHASE BEFORE USING YOU CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD. Helpful definition for this site: "Determinate" or bush types bear a full crop all at once and top off at a specific height. They are often good choices for container growing. Determinate varieties require little or no staking of the plant. "Indeterminate" varieties develop into vines that never top off and continue producing until killed by frost. No shipping

If you would like to bid on items ( artwork, perennial plants, housewares, etc.) from our other auction site please go to https://www.32auctions.com/CCEMGVA
