The annual Symposium of CCEMGVA must be online March 20th, 2021 due to the Covid restrictions. A component of our Symposium has been an auction and door prizes. It provides quality horticulture information as well as raising funds for the organization. The profit from our symposium helps to provide Horticulture Scholarships to local college students. The Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association is proud to serve the community and state of North Carolina. Volunteers help citizens improve the quality of their lives by providing research based information and informal educational opportunities following the NC State Extension Master Gardener guidelines. The volunteers serve the public in extensive ways including presentations, demonstration gardens, and providing horticultural scholarships. The annual Symposium provides the public with the above mentioned services.
