December 19th Siegel’s Silent Auction

Welcome to Siegel’s Outdoor WINTER WONDERLAND SILENT AUCTION! Please bid on the items below or you may also consider making a small donation directly on this page or dropping it into Santa’s Mailbox which will be located near the Hot Chocolate Bar! Your support will make an immediate difference to some of the most neglected, sick, and unwanted dogs rescued from CARES and placed responsibly into loving homes like ours. We are hosting this charity outdoors, responsibly and with covid precautions in mind. In memory of our sweet 3 year old German Shepherd Rudy, who suddenly lost his life to hepatic cancer. We rescued Zulu, our new German Shepherd, who was located in a kill shelter prior to CARES giving us an opportunity to rescue him while he rescued our hearts in return!

About Siegel’s Winter Wonderland Benefiting C.A.R.E.S

Cedartown Animal Rescue, Education & Sterilization (CARES) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit rescue organization that is licensed with the Ga Dept. of Agriculture. We receive no government funding and rely solely on contributions of caring animal lovers. CARES operates on a No Kill philosophy.

Our main focus is on rescuing shelter animals at risk for euthanasia. We work with several area animal control facilities to pull these animals to safety when their mandatory hold time is up. CARES consists of a network of foster homes where the animal is kept in a nurturing, loving environment as they are vetted, socialized and awaiting their perfect home. In keeping with our mission statement, CARES has programs to help educate the public on pet care and responsibilities as well as facilitating the community in low cost sterilization options for their pets.

To date, CARES has been involved in rescuing dogs out of fighting rings, abuse situations, neglectful environments and hoarding cases. We have taken unwanted dogs, cats and horses directly from owners who no longer wanted or could properly care for them. The majority of our dogs have come from pulling them from animal control facilities prior to their euthanasia date.

CARES is an all breed rescue...we do not discriminate on breed nor do we only pull the small, friendly, healthy or easier to place animals. We believe that every animal deserves an inside forever home where they will be loved and properly cared for.

Since our inception, CARES has been a force of positive change. Every year we rescue a massive amount of heartworm positive dogs, animals with broken limbs, puppies dying of parvo, emaciated animals, dogs with infectious/contagious diseases, pregnant & elderly animals, blind and deaf dogs, animals with behavioral issues and animals with medical conditions making them more difficult to place (allergies, diabetic, etc).

Any animal who enters our rescue will only receive the best care - and vetting is no exception. We work with several veterinarians, as well as specialists, to make sure each animal never leaves our care until they are completely healed - mentally and physically.
