Golden Bear Bash 2020!

It’s a good time to try something “out of the box.”

Last week our educators did what has never been done in the history of our School District, they started the new school year by teaching and nurturing students during a pandemic. They welcomed excited children virtually and began getting to know each other. The pandemic will not last forever, but right now, we are especially thankful to have dedicated teachers Enhancing What Matters Most, at a distance.

The UA+Ed has learned an important lesson from our dedicated and innovative educators. Now more than ever, we need to think outside the box to Enhance What Matters Most!

Just as our teachers are missing their students in the classroom, we are going to miss you at the Tremont Center on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 6.

This year, the 14th Golden Bear Bash, our annual FUNdraiser, is going “outside the box” FEATURING our limited edition, commemorative 2020 Bash in a Box.

The UA+Ed has welcomed guests to our FUNdraiser, the Golden Bear Bash, on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, for the last 13 years, Proceeds allow us to provide the "icing on the cake.”

In 2019, we supported robotics, author visits, service learning opportunities and more.

Today, our School District is facing unprecedented disruption to normal school life as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020 we are helping to fund the “cake” to ensure:

•The health and wellness of every student and staff member
•Effective and flexible instruction models to assist with any changes in teaching and learning due to the pandemic
•Initiatives that support our district's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
