GNSI 2022 Virtual Auction

The purpose of the Guild of Natural Science Illustration (GNSI) 2022 Virtual Silent Auction is not only to have fun but also support this amazing organization's goals to educate the public about science communication. Half of the money raised for the auction will go into the GNSI Education Fund in which individuals and/or Chapters can apply for funding for a workshop, exhibit or other event to educate the public and spread the news about scientific illustration and communication. The other half of the money raised will go toward the GNSI General Fund for operating expenses such as publishing the quarterly Journal of Natural Science Illustration as well as running our annual conference.

The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators is a global network of visual creatives working in the service of science. Our members draw on diverse skills that include traditional and digital illustration, animation, fine art, photography, sculpture, documentary filmmaking, exhibit design, comics and more. What ties us together is our desire to increase affinity for the natural world, illuminate cutting edge science, and bridge the gap between researchers and the public. Since its inception at the Smithsonian Institution over 50 years ago, the GNSI has fostered a community that is supportive, generous, and passionate about increasing science literacy through exceptional imagery.
