UHF Festival of Trees 2021 Auction

Every year, The Festival of Trees has an incredible Silent Auction which benefits the University of Alberta Hospital. Our 2021 theme "Share the Joy" welcomes the entire community to celebrate the holidays with traditions and cultures that make our community strong and vibrant. It’s about bringing the people and cultures of Edmonton and surrounding areas together to make new friends, laugh and play, and advance care for those who need our help to live healthier lives.

For more than 36 years, the Festival of Trees has delighted generations of Edmontonians while raising approximately $22 million dollars to advance patient care at the University of Alberta Hospital site.

This year, funds raised through the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees will support the Phase 2 expansion of West Edmonton Kidney Care, a University of Alberta Hospital community facility, to move the home hemo and peritoneal dialysis training and education programs into the centre. All dialysis options will be located under one roof, creating a comprehensive dialysis centre that will focus on patient comfort, wellness and the delivery of excellence and innovation in kidney care.

About University Hospital Foundation & Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees began in 1985 with a display of 15 decorated trees in the University of Alberta Hospital itself. Now 37 years later, it has become one of the premier fundraising events in Edmonton with more than 38,000 people attending each year. The purpose of the Festival of Trees is to raise funds to advance the highest levels of patient care and research at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Since its inception, the Festival has raised over $20 million for many different divisions and departments including: trauma services, neurosciences, endoscopy and bronchoscopy, diagnostic imaging and cardiac services.
