Celebrating Possibilities 2023

The mission of Bittersweet, Inc. is to positively impact the lives of individuals with autism and those whose lives they touch. Bittersweet, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) whose mission is to serve individuals with autism and their families. Founded in Whitehouse, Ohio in 1983, Bittersweet has since expanded its groundbreaking farmstead model to three locations across Northwest Ohio: Whitehouse, Pemberville, and Lima.

Celebrating Possibilities is an annual event in support of Bittersweet Farms. Each year, our community comes together to celebrate how challenges are transformed into possibilities every day on the Farm.

Our mission is to positively impact the lives of individuals with autism and those whose lives they touch. Just as you affect the Bittersweet Community with your generous support, Bittersweet Farms influences the wider community by providing farmstead-based, person-centered services to individuals across the autism spectrum.

Bittersweet provides supportive and well-structured programs that emphasize meaningful activities and focus on celebrating and developing the abilities of individuals with autism. The specific model used by Bittersweet is based on a community of interdependence, where the potential of each person is envisioned and nurtured. The end goal is to increase autonomy and self-reliance, empower choices, maximize dignity and encourage community interaction. Bittersweet strives to redefine what is possible for each person participating in any of the program.

Join us at the LIVE event on Thursday, June 1st from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Food trucks from Deets and Grumpy's, beer, wine, Silent Auction continues, LIVE auction of Jason Aldean concert tickets, a helicopter tour of the Lake Erie Islands, a tour of the Waterville Firehouse with a dinner for 4 made by the firefighters, one of a kind, commissioned framed art print by a local artist, and pallet table made by one of our Bittersweet craftsmen.
