2023 CEF Online Spring Auction

Welcome and thank you for participating in the Chelsea Education Foundation 2023 Online Auction and for supporting teacher grants in the Chelsea School District! At Chelsea Education Foundation, we believe that receiving the proper support and guidance can transform an already bright individual into so much more. The goal of the foundation is to provide funding for a wide spectrum of educational activities to benefit the students of Chelsea School District. CEF serves as a link between school, business, and community to help strengthen Chelsea’s future. All proceeds from our online auction will benefit CSD Teachers through grants awarded by CEF.

We hope you enjoy participating in our online auction and have fun bidding all the great items available. In addition to 30 great packages, there are also three Fund a Cause items for direct purchase. For those who prefer to donate directly to CEF, there is also a "Donate" button on the top right of the auction homepage.

There will be an auction preview from April 10 – 16. Bidding starts on April 17, 2023, at 8:00 am and continues through Sunday, April 23 at 5:00 pm.

Below are some simple instructions and tips that you might find helpful:

• Create an account – In order to place a bid on any of the items, you will need to create a 32Auctions account. To create an account – click on the "Login" link located in the top right corner of the 32Auctions home page. Next click on the link "Create an account now" at the bottom of the login window. There will also be a link to create an account when you click on the "View all items" button.

•Once you have created an account, you will receive the following notifications:
•Auction Starting Notification (24-hour notice)
•Bid Confirmations
•Outbid Notifications (email and optionally text)
•Auction Item Changed (items with bids)
•Watchlist Notifications (participants choose)
•Auction Ending Changed (date and/or time)
•Auction Ending Notification (24-hour notice)
•Winning Bidder Notifications

•Placing a Bid – There are a few different ways to place a bid. Each item has a bidding history, where each bidder's number will appear.
•Exact bid – This is a one time bid - To enter an exact bid, enter your bid amount, click the Exact Bid button, and then submit your bid.
•Proxy bid – A proxy bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you're willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item. To enter a proxy bid, enter your maximum bid amount, click the Proxy Bid button, and then submit your bid. Click here for more information placing a bid.
•Buy it Now – There are a few items that will allow you to directly purchase the item for a "Buy it Now" price.
•One item: If there is only one item available, once you click the "Buy Now" button, future bidding will be suspended on that item.
•Multiple items: If there are multiples of the item available, you will be able to select how many you would like to purchase. These items will be available until the entire quantity has been purchased.

•Bidding Alerts:
•To be notified of all bidding activity on an item, add the item to your Watchlist by clicking the heart on the item so it turns pink. You can view the items which are in your Watchlist by clicking the heart button on the auction bar (next to the Search box). These notifications will be sent via email
•Opting in to receive outbid text notifications – To opt in to receive outbid text notifications, click the Edit Account button on the My Account page, enter your mobile phone number, and check the box next to "Send me outbid text notifications". You'll be all set once you enter the verification code we text to your phone number.

•Payment for Items won – The auction is scheduled to end on Sunday, April 23 at 5:00pm. Winning bidders will be sent an email notification with a link to their invoice page where they can submit payment. Chelsea Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides funding for a wide spectrum of educational activities to benefit the residents of Chelsea, Michigan.

CEF was founded in 1990 to provide a link between school, business, and community to help strengthen Chelsea’s future. Contributions to CEF are given back to the Chelsea community through scholarships for area college students, grants to teachers and others with great ideas, and sponsorship of community forums on important topics.

The Chelsea Education Foundation continues to have a significant impact on the educational experiences of students and teachers. Since 2001, the foundation has demonstrated a significant contribution to the school district. Over 50,000 students received benefits from the foundation's efforts and activities. More than 660 grant programs were funded ranging from art installations to robotics to financial management and over 975 scholarships were awarded to students with outstanding achievement.​
