The mission of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is to bring music lovers and accomplished musicians together to experience inspirational performances of orchestral music, with community as our cornerstone.

Since 1963, the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra has been rooted in community, with the conviction that music is vital and enriches lives. The BSO is made up of volunteer adult amateur, semi-professional and professional musicians from all around the metro area. Many of our members are professionals who love to play music in their spare time.

The BSO typically performs four season concerts from October to April, as well as summer concerts and educational concerts with the Bloomington Public School string students.
