The Art of Rail

The Art of Rail project saw three artists - Roscoe Shelton, Mali Isabel, and Luke Rabl, travel on one of Journey Beyond's epic multi-day rail journeys: The Ghan, Indian Pacific, and Great Southern.

The works in this auction are the pieces inspired by these iconic Australian train journeys.

50% of the proceeds of this auction will be donated to three charities selected by the artists: Rotary Adelaide, The Healing Foundation, and GIVIT.

The remaining will go to the artists, with a smaller percentage covering events, materials and marketing costs for the physical exhibition.

The Art of Rail is a project being managed by Journey Beyond, in conjunction with three artists: Mali Isabel, Luke Rabl, and Roscoe Shelton. These artists have travelled on Journey Beyond's multi-day rail journeys - The Ghan, Indian Pacific, and Great Southern - as inspiration for a series of works that are being exhibited as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival in Adelaide. The works are being auctioned, with the majority of the proceeds going to charities selected by the artists.
