By participating in our silent auction, you are directly supporting young and upcoming artists - and dancers! - in southeast Michigan. Funds collected during the auction will be used to fund the overall operations of Young Dancers Initiative, as well as more artistic opportunities for students studying under Jodie Randolph. Jodie Randolph Dance (founded in 2012) is a professional contemporary dance company based in southeast, MI under the direction of choreographer Jodie Randolph. Jodie's creative work navigates the complexities of the human experience and dares to contend with the unknown. Her organic approach to movement is rooted in vigor, receptivity, and instinct.

Young Dancers Initiative is a pre-professional dance experience for middle school and high school dancers (grades 6-12 | ages 11-18), built to support the foundation of upcoming dance professionals. Serving as a supplemental program alongside a dancer’s studio/conservatory education, YDI provides professional contemporary training, performance, mentorship, educational workshops, choreography and teaching experiences, as well as networking opportunities to support dancers in cultivating their intentional future in the industry post high school graduation.

The program was founded by Jodie Randolph in 2013 in Ann Arbor, MI. In 2020, YDI expanded to a second location in Kalamazoo, MI.

We wish to cultivate curiosity and courage through dance. Our mission is to construct movement experiences that emphasize the creative process as a tool for connectivity. We believe that dance can change the world.
