Heaven's Cupboard Silent Auction Week 1

This is the first of three auction weeks for our annual silent auction to support Heaven's Cupboard. Each auction has 20 great items to bid on. the proceeds of all three auctions go to fund Heaven's Cupboard to enable us to support more families in the Wayne Township School District.

Heaven's Cupboard is an outreach project established by the Witness Committee of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church located on the west side of Indianapolis (near the old airport) . Mount Olive is a United Methodist church in the Ben Davis/Wayne Township School district in Indianapolis which supports the schools in many ways and is especially proud of Heaven's Cupboard.

Heaven's Cupboard was started 15 years ago with a $5000 grant and has since been supported by donations and fundraisers. Heaven's Cupboard was started by the Witness Committee who knew there was a need for families to have food and because we believe no child should go to bed or to school hungry. The focus of Heaven's Cupboard is to provide emergency groceries to a family in need in the Wayne Township School system. The family receives groceries equal to a week's worth of meals and is limited to providing for a family one time per semester in a school year. A volunteer from the church shops and deliver groceries to the family's home. We have made 990 grocery deliveries since we started this project.
