About Our Auction
This is our third annual auction. Chamberlin House was built in1886 and has its original slate roof, which is leaking and must be rehabilitated thus the "Up" in our auction title. We house three women in transition at greatly reduced market rental rates. Repairing the leaking roof is critical to providing safe housing and a place to continue offering community programming.
The reaching "Out" part of the auction is to fund an assessment to improve accessibility for all who attend our events. This is not an easy or inexpensive task for an historic building.
A little bonus this year...for overbids, we'll add a packet of notecards designed by members of the Women's Art Caucus, while supplies last!!
About Woman's Club of Concord
The Woman’s Club of Concord, founded 1893, is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of women in the greater Concord area by offering scholarships and housing, community activities and educational programs. The Club maintains the historic Chamberlin House at 44 Pleasant St. which is home to as many as four women in transition. It is also the site for community meetings and programs. Women who live or work in the greater Concord area are eligible for membership. Members are informed of club activities and, though, they do not have to participate to be members, it is hoped that they will participate in some aspect of the Club life to support the above activities.
