About Our Auction

Become a champion for the artists of tomorrow by pledging your support to Vancouver Fringe today.

Restarting a regular program of events in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic proved challenging for many of the returning festivals across Canada. Though our much-anticipated 2022 Festival saw crowds in excess of 20,000, our anticipated revenue fell significantly short of estimates. To reduce the impact of this shortfall and ensure a bright future for the artists we support, we welcome you to participate in our latest fundraiser of auction items.

We have a $10,000 goal to hit before the end of March. Want to help us get there? Place a bid on your item of choice* and be in with a chance to take home prize items such as:

• Theatre tickets for an array of top venues including The Cultch, Artsclub, Ballet BC, Cinemateque, VIFF, Firehall Arts Centre, Bard on the Beach and more…
• Restaurant experiences and drinks packages from the likes of La Taqueria, Granville Island Brewery, Wards Cider, Missions Hill Family Estate Winery and more…
• Vouchers for Benton Brothers Fine Cheese, Peddle Heads Cycling camps, walking tours from Forbidden Vancouver, ferry rides from False Creek Ferries, an array of Fringe merch and more…

FURTHER ITEMS WILL BE ADDED DURING THE AUCTION, SO CHECK BACK REGULARLY FOR ENTICING NEW ADDITIONS!

You can also donate to us directly via https://www.vancouverfringe.com/support-us/donate (all donations over $20 CAD will receive a tax-deductible receipt).

Your pledges truly make a difference to our ongoing operations. Thank you for all your generous support.

*PLEASE NOTE: All winning bids are required to be paid via credit card through the auction site, or alternatively in cash if collecting an item(s) in-person.

About Vancouver Fringe

Vancouver Fringe was formed in 1983 with a mission to produce ‘theatre for everyone’ in Vancouver and beyond. The society initiated its first Fringe Festival in 1985 which, over 35 years later, has gone on to become the largest theatre festival in BC.

Vancouver Fringe employs an ‘everyone is welcome’ selection technique, striving to break down traditional boundaries and encourage open dialogue between audiences and artists by presenting live un-juried, uncurated theatre in an accessible and informal environment.

Reveling in its identity as half theatre/half party; artists, audiences, and volunteers alike are invited to take part in an array of live music and performances – all situated on and around the city’s cultural and creative hub, Granville Island.

Vancouver Fringe has always embodied a passion for entertainment without boundaries, and today sees visitor numbers in excess of 40,000, facilitated by over 500 volunteers that graciously support the Society in making its mission a reality.

Vancouver Fringe is a registered not-for-profit charitable society (Charitable Tax No. #11891 9547 RR0001).
