A dining experience not to be missed!

The Marin’s, owners of the award-winning Bayard House restaurant in Chesapeake City, welcome you into their stunning, waterfront property located on the Elk River and C&D canal. There you will be treated to a five-course culinary masterpiece prepared by the Bayard House’s Executive chef, Brian Jones. As an added highlight to the evening each course will feature a wine pairing prepared by Shannon Hurley, Manager of Darioush Winery in Napa Valley, CA and Certified Sommelier, Court of Masters.

This will truly be an evening never to forget with terrific food, wine and even better company! Salut!

Chef – Brian Jones

Chef Brian Jones is a twenty-year veteran of the culinary industry whose passion for cooking harkens back to his grandfather, an executive chef for the American Legion. Chef Brian followed his passion to the Scottsdale Culinary Institute Le Cordon Bleu in Arizona where he received his culinary degree. From there, Chef Bryan has cooked in a multitude of restaurant environments: fine dining restaurants, country club establishments, and even as Chef for the Stadium Suites of the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes. Brian’s influences are robust enjoying and drawing inspiration from Asian, Mexican, Southern USA, and Italian cuisines. He loves to take simple ingredients and create dishes with robust flavors and artistic presentations. Brian believes that food brings people to the table, creates memories and enhances family and friendship just as it has for him.

Sommelier – Shannon Hurley

Shannon Hurley has had a passion for cooking and hospitality from a very young age. Turning passion into a career, Ms. Hurley attended and received her degree from Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island, the premier hospitality school in the United States. Shortly after her schooling she gravitated toward the wine industry and thereafter became a sommelier manager at the iconic Estiatorio Milos located in midtown Manhattan. Currently, she has relocated to Napa Valley where she is a manager at the world renowned Darioush winery. Ms. Hurley’s goal of becoming a Master Sommelier is also well on its way and her studies have already led her to the Certified Sommelier level of this highly intense course of certification.

We would like to express our immense gratitude to The Bayard House for their generosity and ongoing support for The Paris Foundation.

About The Paris Foundation

The Paris Foundation is a Christian non-profit organization located in Elkton, MD. Our mission is to demonstrate Christ’s unconditional love to those in the Greater Elkton area in need of material, emotional, and spiritual support. Services are rendered through a variety of programs:

*The Matthew Project provides an evening meal seven nights a week, as well as clothing, bedding, personal care items and other “survival gear” to those in need.
*Good Ground provides times for worship, study, and prayer on a weekly basis.
*Faith Works provides the people we serve the opportunity to work with volunteers on community service projects.
*L.E.E.A.F. (Law Enforcement Emergency Assistance Fund) provides officers with the means to render help to displaced persons when no other resources are available.

The Paris Foundation envisions:

*An end to homelessness in the Greater Elkton area
*A place where hurting people can be fed, clothed, counseled, and comforted, in Jesus’ name
*A community being transformed one life at a time
*Strategic partnerships with those who share in our mission
*Wholeness replacing brokenness, dignity replacing depravity, and cooperation replacing confrontation

The Paris Foundation has committed to build a 10,000 square foot multipurpose community center in the heart of Cecil County’s most impoverished neighborhood, designed to further our mission and see a realization of our vision.

Over 300 low income families within walking distance will be able to break bread together, worship, receive medical treatment, job training, and a myriad of other supportive services, in coordination with the Hollingsworth Landing Association (local residents’ grassroots organization) and local service providers.
