Saint Joseph Parish is a vibrant, welcoming Roman Catholic parish built on the pillars of worship, service, and education. Founded by Fr. Edward Sorin, C.S.C., we are South Bend's oldest Catholic worshipping community, and we have been stewarded by Holy Cross priests and religious since our establishment in 1853.

The educational ministry of our parish is Saint Joseph Grade School, a 2011 & 2019 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and 2011-2018 Indiana Four Star School. The mission of Saint Joseph Grade School is to educate hearts and minds in the Holy Cross tradition, making God known, loved, and served.
