About Our Online Auction & Event

Over the last 47 years, Abby's House has been a "bright spot" in the City of Worcester for countless women and children facing homelessness. Open since June 7, 1976, the Abby's House shelter has always been a safe place for women to gather and listen to each other’s experiences of abuse, neglect, and economic instability, and serves as a place where new futures can be shaped. At the time of its inception, Founder Annette Rafferty believed that homelessness among women and children would only be a temporary problem. As the years went on however, more and more women came to the doorstep of the Abby’s House shelter in need of a safe place to stay. It was then that Annette and the Board of Directors decided that, in order to be part of the solution to ending homelessness, permanent, supportive housing and more services needed to be offered to help women move out of homelessness to an independent and thriving existence. To achieve this, Abby’s House added 79 units of supportive housing over the years and expanded its services to include the Women’s Center (1986), Thrift Shop (1988), and a food pantry (2016). None of this, however, would have been possible without your unwavering dedication to helping the most vulnerable women and children in our community.

Help us reach our total Springtacular fundraising goal of $155,000 through sponsorships, donations, matching gifts, and auction proceeds to support shelter, housing, and vital women's services for homeless and low-income women, with or without children.

We sincerely thank you for viewing and participating in the auction! To learn more about this annual fundraising event, ways to get involved and share with others, visit www.abbyshouse.org/springtacular.
