About Our Auction
The Spring Stewardship Auction raises funds to support the land protection and stewardship work of the Cumberland Community Forest Society. Visit www.cumberlandforest.com to learn more about the efforts of the Vancouver Island conservation organization that has protected 500 acres of threatened forests to protect biodiversity and build climate resilience.
We are currently raising the funds to establish the 'leadership fund' for a 25 acre purchase in the Lower Perseverance Creek corridor as well as funding several stewardship projects in and around the Cumberland Community Forest Nature Park. Your support is greatly appreciated!
About Cumberland Community Forest Society
The Cumberland Community Forest Society is a charitable non profit dedicated to the purchase and protection of forest lands surrounding the Village of Cumberland on Vancouver Island. This forest is an important habitat corridor and filled with trails, mature trees, streams, riparian areas and heritage landmarks. The CCFS is a grassroots community organization that believes that this forest is worth more to the community standing than as timber. They have purchased over 500 acres to date from timber companies. These areas are now dedicated as a municipal nature park.
