Special Olympics Alberta BOW VALLEY Fundraiser

This is our 3rd auction & our 1st one since 2019. Until now we have been operating mostly on funds raised in our pre-Covid days.

Since our programs have expanded we realized that we need to fundraise again. We hope you will find this auction a fun way to support us in our fundraising efforts.

The proceeds from this auction will go directly to our BOW VALLEY programs - cross country skiing & 5 pin bowling. We will use the funds from this auction to continue to waive ALL registration fees to join our programs for as long as we can, so everyone is able to join regardless of their financial situation. We will also use the proceeds to provide our athletes/volunteers with uniforms; to fund our special events & athlete/volunteer recognition ceremonies; to cover operational costs; to provide volunteer/coach training opportunities; & it is our hope to be able to provide transportation to out of town bowling tournaments so our families without access to a vehicle can also participate.

Special Olympics is committed to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disability through sport. The Bow Valley community program began in 2018 & at present we have 2 very successful and thriving programs: cross country skiing & 5 pin bowling. Our hope is to expand our programming to offer as many of the 18 sports offered by Special Olympics Alberta as we can accommodate.
Special Olympics Canada is the ONLY organization in Canada to provide grassroots sport programs & competition opportunities, from the local level to the world level, for people with intellectual disabilities.
This auction will help provide the much needed resources to help fund our programs & expand to other sports & opportunities for our athletes. This is our 1st fundraiser auction since 2019 so we thank you for your support!
