Soto Mission of Aiea 2023 Auction

Welcome to our 2nd Annual Online Auction! This year we are pleased to announce that the construction of the Soto Mission of Aiea Activity Center has begun. After five years of planning, the project finally got underway with demolition of the old Japanese School building and minister’s residence. On September 19, 2023 a groundbreaking ceremony and blessing took place to kickoff the new construction.

The Soto Mission of Aiea Activity Center is a beautifully designed, two-story, 5,000 sf building and courtyard. This multi-purpose facility will support a proposed adult care center and meditation hall, and will enable us to host classes, educational events, and workshops. It will be a gathering place for current and future generations of members and the entire community. The project is estimated to take a year to complete.
