About Our Auction

Since 1991, Strawberry Isle Marine Research Society (SIMRS) has had the honour of promoting and conducting marine research, monitoring, and education in Clayoquot Sound and beyond. This auction is a fundraiser to support our general operating costs so that our team can continue to serve our communities and conserve marine ecosystems for generations to come. All items have been generously donated by various businesses and organizations that value our work and support our mission, making it so that 100% of the proceeds go to SIMRS!

Please see below for more information about our accomplishments over the past three decades. By bidding on these items, you can directly contribute to our cause and help us secure enough funding to continue our operations! Thank you for your support, & happy bidding!

Bidding tips:

1) Use the search bar and categories filter to sort through the items up for bid;

2) Keep a close eye on your bids by clicking the heart icon on the item page or thumbnail to add to your watch list;

3) Bid by Proxy - with proxy bids you can enter the highest amount you're willing to spend on an item and the system will bid for you as additional bids are entered until you hit your max bid amount. A risk free way to win your item at the lowest possible cost!

4) Bid now and don't miss out on your items! Auction ends at 11:45PM on November 30th.

About Strawberry Isle Marine Research Society

Strawberry Isle Marine Research Society (SIMRS) is a registered charity based in Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We are a group of naturalists dedicated to conducting long-term research and monitoring, providing emergency marine mammal response, and educating the public about marine ecosystems.

During our 30 years of work along the coast, we are proud to have established long-term research, monitoring and education projects that continue to better our understanding of marine ecosystems, help inform policy makers, educate the local community as well as provide emergency marine mammal response for the west coast of Vancouver Island.
