About Our Auction

There is no bench...everyone rides in the WI League and there are programs for all levels of interest. Our races are financially self-staining but our Adventure, GRiT, and Teen Trail Corps programs relay on sponsorships and fundraising. This auction and donations made during Ride & Dine will directly support the League-wide efforts in these program areas. You will make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes!

NICA Adventure is a program that Allows youth to experience the benefits of mountain biking, camaraderie, community, and the outdoors. Reinforce our core values while building health and strength, learning new skills, and being part of a team of like-minded people through outdoor experiential education.

The GRiT, Girls Riding Together, initiative is an effort to recruit and retain more girls and female coaches in NICA programs.

Through Teen Trail Corps, teams have an opportunity to showcase their commitment to the trails and develop a good reputation within the local trail community. Beyond developing community relationships, Teen Trail Corps also opens up land steward relationships and provides a pathway for leagues to work with land managers in developing new locations for team practice and potential event venues.

About Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League

Founded in 2014, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League (501(c)3) is a Chapter League of NICA, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. Using mountain biking as a youth development tool, nearly 900 highly trained volunteer coaches deliver programs designed to build strong minds, bodies, character and community through cycling to more than 1800 middle and high school student-athletes, on more than 90 teams around the Wisconsin.

Mountain bike races provide healthy competition and a weekend of camaraderie at venues all over Wisconsin. Adventure programming provides group riding opportunities without the pressure of the race clock. GRiT, Girls Riding Together, encourages female athletes and coaches to get involved. Teen Trail Corps teaches land and resource stewardship when student-athletes and coaches help assist with trail maintenance.

Your participation in our first-ever fundraising auction event will directly support programming around our FIERC values of Fun, Inclusivity, Equity, Respect and Community. Student-athletes learn bike handling skills and trail etiquette while creating a positive, accepting team culture in the outdoors where every athlete participates to the best of his/her/their ability.

We are rapidly growing as more students discover this fun, inclusive, challenging, and healthy sport where every youth is empowered to be part of a thriving and engaged cycling community.
