The RESCUE 2019: Fundraising Event for PARL

PARL's annual fundraiser, The RESCUE, has been a Rhode Island tradition for over a decade! One of the most popular aspects of this tradition is our silent auction. Generous donors from all over the state contribute an array of fun, valuable gifts for attendees to bid on. The funds generated by these bids go directly towards helping pets in your community, so, in order to give more folks the chance to participate, we have added online bidding!

The Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1913. PARL serves communities throughout Rhode Island and beyond. Our mission is to provide for the rescue and relief of suffering and homeless animals, and to perform charitable or benevolent acts for the welfare of animals.

PARL's mission is accomplished by providing appropriate shelter and care for animals in need, seeking permanent homes for adoptable animals, reducing pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter services, and providing humane education programming throughout the community. We receive no federal or state funding and rely solely on donations from generous individuals, businesses, and foundations to support our programs and services.

While animal welfare is at the center of PARL's mission, we believe it is just as important to serve our community's human population. We understand how important the bond between human and companion animal is, and view people and their animals as equal and inseparable constituents. We strive to promote an understanding and caring environment for everyone seeking our services, whether they are surrendering an animal, adopting from us, or utilizing our low-cost services.
