The Royal Canadian Institute for Science (RCIScience) is Canada’s oldest scientific organization – older than Canada itself. A registered charity, RCIScience was founded in 1849 by Sir Sandford Fleming and a group of engineers, surveyors and entrepreneurs. Our mission then, as it is now, is to build a stronger country through an informed public that embraces science.

Through our fun online and in-person events, we engage thousands of people in Canada with science every year – from the science of everyday life to issues of international importance.

Our work has never been more important. All funds raised through the auction will support our vital work connecting people in Canada to science.
