United Way's Power of the Purse

Join Power the Purse as we raise funds for Wabash Valley children. We have great purse packages available in our virtual silent auction. All funds raised from the Power of the Purse event benefit the United Way’s Success By 6 Impact Council with a mission to prepare children to enter school ready to succeed.

This year, United Way's Power of the Purse is funding the initiative to distribute K-Packs to children whose education has been disrupted by COVID. Our K-Packs contain fun activities and plans to help children develop skills necessary to get on track to succeed while having fun doing it!

United Way of the Wabash Valley is working towards a bold goal of moving 10,000 families from financial struggles and into stability. But there is no “one size fits all” answer, and no one person or organization can do it alone. United Way is building a collective movement of people and organizations to tackle the complex issue of poverty and the dilemma of struggling working families within our community.

United Way of the Wabash Valley’s collective impact approach addresses people’s immediate needs but also works collaboratively with other partners in the community toward changing systems so that people can avoid challenges altogether.

To create change United Way is investing in the focus areas of Education, Health, Financial Stability, Community, and Safety Net Services.
