About Our Auction
NZSSPC’s Top 18 shortlisted photographs from our 2018/19 Competition are being auctioned online, with half the proceeds going to the charity Make A Wish and the other half going back into NZSSPC so we are able to continue funding competitions for young photographers for years to come. Our competition was created as a platform where passionate secondary school photographers can expose their arts to the wider community. We believe this auction not only fulfills our mission but provides secondary school photographers with the chance to use their skills not only for themselves but for the others as well, as the funds we raise from this event going on to make a difference through Make A Wish. Please show your support for this wonderful causes through bidding on your favourite photographs.
The New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Photography Competition (NZSSPC) is a project created by youth, intended to serve as a platform where passionate secondary school photographers can promote their photos, as well as partaking in a friendly competition with like-minded students. This competition is unique due to its specific target audience of secondary school students to ensure that students have a larger chance of achieving highly as they will be competing with people of a similar age. The NZSSPC’s mission is to help expose the artworks of NZ youth to the wider community, and encourage NZ youth to explore concepts relevant to the current world.
