The National Christian Choir 2018 Auction

This year’s NCC Golf Tournament will add a new twist, an online only auction that will begin on June 1, 2018 at 8am, continue through the golf tournament, and end on July 8, 2018 at 8pm. New items/services will be added while the auction is in progress, so stop back frequently!

The golf tournament will be held at "The Links at Gettysburg," commencing at 8:30am and concluding with an awards banquet served by the staff at "The Links."

Auction donation proceeds provide opportunities for the all-volunteer National Christian Choir to do much more than sing and record wonderful music. Annually, The NCC joins the Magi Fund Concert in Salisbury, Maryland to benefit two homeless shelters long known for their charitable work. We have also partnered with Gaithersburg Help (through a benefit concert), to supply food, infant needs, prescription funding and transportation for residents in need. In December, we sponsor an effort to send our inspirational CDs to military troops who are in Veterans’ hospitals around the country and their families who stay at Fisher House. Our national radio ministry, “Psalm 95,” touches the lives of the elderly and shut-ins who cannot attend concerts or church as well as those incarcerated in prisons throughout the United States. NCC singers participate at their own expense and donate many hours to the various outreach activities of the Choir.

Please join the fun and register for the golf tournament or consider donating an item or service to the auction:

About The National Christian Choir

The National Christian Choir (NCC) is an auditioned choir of 150 members who come from over 100 different churches within a 5-state region surrounding the greater Washington DC / Baltimore area. The NCC was founded in 1984 by Harry Causey and is now led by Kathy C. Bowman, Director of Music and Ministries. All of the singers are volunteers who commit to rehearsing most Monday nights throughout the school year. Each member signs this simple Statement of Faith:

"I have received Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, as my personal Savior and Lord, and believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word to us. My desire is to live my life for His glory, to obey God’s moral and spiritual laws and to use my talents to honor Him within The National Christian Choir."

The NCC offers approximately 12 concerts each year, most of which are free to the public. Our annual Christmas Concerts, accompanied by full orchestra, are ticketed events, held annually in Silver Spring, MD and biennially in Lancaster, PA as well. The Choir has performed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore Hall, the National Cathedral, Constitution Hall, The Washington Convention Center, George Mason Center for the Performing Arts, and numerous other sites including the U.S. Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean War Memorial at its opening dedication service. Most of our concerts, however, take place in churches and we have been privileged to present worship concerts in many wonderful churches throughout America and beyond.

Some of our tours outside the mid-Atlantic region have included:
• Focus on the Family Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO, with Dr. James Dobson
• Moody Broadcasting Network at the Moody Church in Chicago, Illinois with Dr. Erwin Lutzer
• National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX
• Crystal Cathedral on “The Hour of Power” with Dr. Robert Schuller
• Ligonier Ministries Conference in Orlando, FL, with Dr. R. C. Sproul
• Taylor University in Upland, IN
• Disney’s Magic Music Days on Epcot’s Future World West Stage in Orlando, FL
• Adventist HealthCare System Convention in Winter Park, FL
• Shell Point Community in Ft. Myers, FL
• Nashville, TN

Internationally, we have toured the Holy Land (singing in Jerusalem and Manger Square in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve) and Eastern Europe, where we sang in East Berlin and Prague shortly after the Berlin Wall was torn down.
The NCC is heard both nationally and internationally on our weekly one-hour radio program, Psalm 95, hosted by Kathy Bowman. Please visit our website (www.NationalChristianChoir.org) to hear recent broadcasts and find our concert schedule, a list of radio stations carrying Psalm 95, sound samples of our recordings, Choir news and more.
