Mistletoe Magic 2020 - ART UP YOUR ZOOM!

The John B. Aird Gallery (the ‘Aird’) is pleased to invite you to its annual Mistletoe Magic fundraiser which will take place on-line from December 1 - 8, 2020. This highly anticipated event brings together over 150 works of art from more than 80 contemporary artists across the country. We are also excited to feature renowned contemporary visual artists, Julius Manapul and Natalie Wood, at this year’s fundraiser.

Mistletoe Magic 2020 is the second online edition of this popular event. For 32 years, this important event has raised much-needed funds for the Aird Gallery's year-round programming, which includes 12 exhibitions per year, helped increase the gallery's visibility, provided exhibition opportunities for the participating artists and organizations and supported the Aird in continuing to be free to all. In 2019, the Aird Gallery relocated to Artscape 906 Queen West from its original location in the Macdonald Block (at Bay Wellesley) and will be returning in 2024-25. Impacting its capacity to program at the same caliber.

This year has been challenging due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Aird has not escaped financial hardship, and we are urgently seeking your support. Your contribution through this year's fundraiser greatly supports the community of artists the AIRD. Feel the joy of giving the most treasured gift of art by purchasing unique pieces from our talented artists during this holiday season!

Additional works of ART, which are not part of the auction, are also available for sale through the Aird Gallery's online PUBLICATIONS at https://airdgallery.org/. Please see the following publications:
- PAINTING 2020
- DOG DAYS; and
- GAY GARDENS (note, this publication includes mature content)

Please contact director@airdgallery.org if you are interested in purchasing any of these artworks.

About John B. Aird Gallery

The John B. Aird gallery is a safe contemporary art exhibition space where visual culture can be shared and explored by an audience as diverse as its makers.

Established in 1985, it was named in honor of the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to recognize his support of the visual arts in the province and in Canada. As a non-profit entity the Gallery’s mandate is to create awareness and promote the enjoyment of works of art by professional contemporary artists.

One of the few remaining public art galleries in Toronto and operating for over 30 years as a non-profit and registered charity, we connect people to ideas – where contemporary art is presented, discussed and enjoyed. We are a space where visual culture is shared to inspire, where communities connect with each other, and where artists are supported throughout their career.
