About Our Auction
In 2016 Sissy Cutchen '81 created the affinity group, the Mills College Artists' Network. The mission was to bring attention to Mills artists, create collectors of Mills artists' work, and to shine light on the College because of Mills artists' collective and gifted creative force in the world. So, Sissy partnered with marketing expert and classmate, Ann Kasper '81, and the almost 100 artists of MCAN, the Mills College Artists' Network. Their goal was to create an endowed scholarship for all Mills students through an annual online art auction. The magical idea was "ART INTO SCHOLARSHIPS".
As you view the donations, please take the time to learn about each artist through their photos, biographies/artist's statements, and media links. All this information is listed with the pieces the artists have so generously donated.
About Alumnae Association of Mill College
Founded in 1879, the AAMC is an independent, inclusive community that promotes the interests of Mills alumnae through action, information, and lifelong connections and learning. We elect representatives to the Mills College Board of Trustees, link students and alumnae, co-sponsor events with the College, help plan Reunion, organize travel programs, and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Mills alumnae. We encourage the growth of Mills as an undergraduate college for women and gender nonbinary students and as a graduate institution for all genders.
