Firefighter marathon for BC Childrens Hospital

My name is Reid Taylor, I am a Firefighter here in BC. For the past 4 years I have been doing a fundraiser for our local children’s hospital, BC Childrens Hospital. With a lot of hard work and support I am proud to say we have raised over $37,000 for kids in their time of need. My wife and I have a young family, a 5-year-old boy, 3 year old boy and our third baby, a girl arrived this past April. When she was born, she had to stay in the NICU for 2 weeks for medical issues, and was transferred to BC Children’s Hospital for final tests before she was discharged. I wanted to put a bigger effort into this campaign, so instead of running the 40 yard dash in full firefighting gear which I did in conjunction with Rich Eisen of the NFL Network. I will be running a marathon (42KM or 26 Miles) in full firefighting gear weighing 45 pounds. Along with running the marathon I will be hosting an online fundraising event from February 22-26, and I am hoping to have your support. 100% of money raised goes directly to BC Childrens Hospital
