About Our Auction

Every year, volunteers get together and raise much-needed funds for the school. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, business owners, students and other members of the community pool their resources to make sure that all kids at the school have the best possible elementary school experience.

Usually, two large-scale fundraising events, a Fall Fête and Spring Social, generate the majority of funds needed for the school year. The last two years have been anything but usual!

The school needs money to pay for Health & Wellness programs, field trips, Equity Programs, tech upgrades, graduation yearbooks, student-led initiatives and hopefully in person events like Carnaval D’Hiver, a musical and graduation event. Funds raised also pay for holiday hampers and subsidize school events for Howard families in need.
We hope to raise $10,000 with this auction.

Check out the items and experiences available and bid boldly!

About Howard Junior Public School

Howard Public School is located in the High Park/Roncesvalles community of Toronto Ontario Canada. It began as a small country school in 1874 and was rebuilt as an “open concept” school in 1970 with three common areas, each surrounded by six individual classrooms. There are also three Kindergarten classrooms, a music room and library. The School shares space with the Howard Park Children’s Centre daycare. Installation of a new sports field and upgrades to the school yard began in the summer of 2021. The new yard and field should be available for use late in November.

Howard is proud to be a dual-track school offering an English program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 and an Early French Immersion program from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6. There are roughly 400 students at Howard.

The School Council is made up of volunteers from Howard’s parent/caregiver community. Led by 8 executive committee members, Council volunteers work to enhance the students’ experience at Howard, to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents and caregivers. A big part of this work is raising money to support student-led initiatives and provide support that wouldn’t otherwise be available.
