GLENLYON NORFOLK SCHOOL (GNS) AUCTION

GNS runs an Annual Appeal to raise funds to better our school because school fees at GNS cover only operating costs. In aid of the annual appeal, the GNS Parents Auxiliary (PAUX) is hosting BOTH an Online Auction AND a Party with a separate 4-lot Silent Auction to celebrate and raise funds for special projects. See heading GLENLYON NORFOLK SCHOOL below to read more...

About GLENLYON NORFOLK SCHOOL

As you may already be aware, GNS is a not-for-profit school. Our community includes more than 460 families and over 700 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, in addition to more than 4000 alumni. You may not be aware, however; that school fees cover only variable operating costs. Annually, the Parents Auxiliary supplements gifts given to the Annual Appeal by hosting an online auction and a special evening party to celebrate our school and raise funds for operating projects that ensure GNS can continue to challenge and support our students to do their best through truth and courage in learning and in life...

FUNDS RAISED THIS YEAR WILL CONTRIBUTE TO:
* New learning furniture for more of the Junior School classrooms

Each child holds our attention at Glenlyon Norfolk School, a day school that is firmly rooted in the values of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Round Square. As one of only fifteen schools in Canada authorized to offer three IB programs, GNS is proud of its unique 'IB Advantage': a 21st-Century approach which educates the whole child and creates global thinkers. GNS offers 5- and 7-day Family Boarding options for students who are not residents of Victoria, and provides an extensive co-curricular program. Part of providing these programs requires a certain level of infrastructure that is not paid for by tuition. This is where the Annual Appeal steps in. Tuition levels are set at the variable cost of offering each child an education for the year, but do not cover the costs of maintaining and adapting our facilities to match the needs of our curriculum. This is where the Annual Appeal helps and where PAux, as your Parent Representatives, work hard to help raise the money required to continue offering such amazing learning opportunities to our children.
