Fistula Foundation

The proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Fistula Foundation to help women who suffered terrible birth injuries. The help is by training Midwives and preventing these injuries, surgical repair of the injuries, teaching women how to read & write. Providing them with cesarean sections with the next pregnancy.
These actions change women's lives!

The Fistula Foundation raises money to fund surgeries for women in countries where a fistula can occur between the bladder vagina and anus.
This happens from lack of midwifery or obstetrical care, the women will labor for days, until the baby dies and is expelled as it decays.
This long obstructed labor results in a hole between her bladder, vagina and/or anus.
The women can no longer control her body functions, and as such is often expelled from her village /family because of smell.
The repair changes the women's life, they become a useful member of their community and go on to have other babies, born by cesarean section.
The Fistula Foundation also supports the training of local Midwives, leading to safer births.
