Exceptional Kids Organization On-Line Fundraiser

In March of 2020, one week before our scheduled Fun"d"raiser, COVID 19 shut down our world. The EKO board members didn't want to stop connecting with our families so we've been holding bi-monthly Zoom dances and parent seminars. Unfortunately, we were not able to fundraiser and our operating costs haven't stopped so we're holding this on-line auction to help cover our yearly operating costs. Please take a look at some wonderful items that we have. We hope you will find something that you'll want to keep for yourself.

EKO’s mission is to provide social and educational enrichment to individuals with special needs, their families and educators in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. We go beyond simply making a statement, we live our mission every day so that the youth we serve can have the ability to lead better, more independent and productive lives capable of interacting more fully with society.

The EKO was founded in 1999 by a parent of a special needs child and special education teacher to help meet a shortage of social and educational opportunities for special needs youth the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Today, all our officers and members are volunteers without pay. Our members include students, parents, teachers and community supporters. Our focus has always been on providing social and educational opportunities for special needs youth. The goal is to enhance each youth’s self-image and self-worth by encouraging growth and independence. This includes recognizing and enhancing their special talents.
