All contributions go directly to the camping programs so that camp may be free of charge for all children, most of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds. Dream Street does not fund salaries and is a public 501(c) (3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax Identification #95-4210774).


About Dream Street East

Dream Street provides camping programs for children with chronic, life-threatening, and terminal illnesses. We strive to provide a magical experience to kids who would otherwise miss out on what should be the guaranteed rights of childhood. Typical sleep-away camps cannot meet the needs of children who require medication throughout the day. At Dream Street, our volunteer counselors and medical staff are available 24 hours a day to care for sicker kids than any other camp can accommodate.

These days, camp is struggling financially. In years past, we were able to fly in kids from all over the country so that they could experience camp. Recently, however, we have not been able to afford the cross-country flights that would allow for potential east coast campers to make it out to sunny California. The East Coast Volunteer Group wants to change that. We are making every effort to raise funds so that we can bring more children from New England to camp.
