About Our Auction
After hosting Douglas Diaz's I MISS YOU exhibition at tokyobike Los Angeles, we are proud to partner with Douglas on auctioning all seven pieces in support of the Black community and those protesting against racism and police violence. 100% of the auction total will be split evenly and donated to Black Earth Farms, The Bail Project, and Black Lives Matter.
Douglas Diaz (b. 1972) is a Brooklyn, New York born artist. His work explores questions of his own humanity, challenging preconceptions and thoughts, embracing fears and the darkness that lies deep within the unconscious in an attempt to gain spiritual equanimity.
His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows since 2015 across Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and the United States. In 2017, Douglas had his first solo museum exhibition titled SHUKKE at Art 1 Museum, Indonesia. His work is collected privately and publicly in 18 different countries.

My mind is beginning to comprehend you are gone, so it directs my hands to trace memories of you.

tokyobike is a small, independent bicycle company founded in 2002 in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka, Japan. Based on the concept of Tokyo Slow our bicycles are designed to explore the places we love and call home. With a tokyobike, it is as much about the journey as the destination.
