About Our Auction

This auction includes a collection of books anonymously donated through our Book Riot event collection over the past several months. Most of the books except for A Gallery of English and American Poets, The Illustrated London News July to Dec 1851, and The Columbian Lady's and Gentleman's Magazine, are from the Franklin Library publication, which have been signed by the author and are in pristine condition. Although none of these books have been professionally appraised, we have set a price we believe is true to the value of the item based on our research.

This auction includes a collection of 4 pieces of art generously donated in support of the fund development endeavors at Women's Place by Ronald Rossman of Rossman's Furniture and Barbara Polc, a local mixed media artist from Port Colborne.

About Birchway Niagara

For decades, women have turned to Birchway Niagara (formerly Women’s Place) for confidential and compassionate support when faced with the difficult issue of abuse.

Whether it is your partner or another loved one who is hurting you emotionally or physically, our counsellors will listen to you. They will believe you. They will not judge you. They will help you to figure out your options… and you don’t have to stay in our shelter to get help.

We exist to protect and empower.
We want a community without abuse.
We will be a shoulder to lean on, a voice to advocate for, a space to feel safe in, an ally to trust, a guide to navigate, and a counsellor to heal for everyone affected by abuse of all forms.
