Dakota Duns Quarter Horses Spring Sale

1st annual spring sale! Consists of bred broodmares, 2 year old colts and fillies, and 2023 yearlings. All of our horses are registered with AQHA and/or APHA unless stated otherwise. All of the stallion breeding reports have been filed and the bred broodmares will come with hard copies of the foal applications. Almost all of our stock is genetic tested or tested by parentage for color genes and all 6-panel disorders. These results will be displayed in each description for the horses. PPE's can be scheduled after purchasing at the BUYER's expense! Should anything be discovered affecting the horse that the SELLER did not disclose, the sale will be cancelled if desired. All of these horses will have a current negative coggins test and health certificate prior to leaving our ranch. This will be provided by the SELLER. All of these horses are located in BOWDLE, SOUTH DAKOTA. ALL SALES ARE FINAL and must be paid in full within 3 hours of the auction closing by Zelle or Venmo, unless other arrangements are made.

We are a small family ranch operation raising quality American Quarter Horses bred for the ranching lifestyle. Our ambition is to breed back the foundation quarter horse into today's modern performance bloodlines, producing larger bone mass, depth, conformation and good sized, strong feet. Our foals are born on the South Dakota prairie and raised in a natural breeding herd of broodmares, foals, and stallions on big acreage. This environment provides these foals with rough land to learn to travel and watch their feet while building muscle as they navigate the pastures. They know how to properly socialize with other horses and are a clean slate to train when they are brought home from summer pasture for weaning. Our foals can be sold untouched or halter broke if the buyer prefers.

Our most popular bloodlines include Hollywood Dun It, Peppy San Badger, Blackburn, Poco Bueno, Shining Spark, Colonels Smoking Gun and Genuine Doc. Our stallions as well as some mares, are used on the family ranch for our 1000 head cow/calf pairs year round. Our horses are very quiet minded, smart, athletic, and easy to train. We have many repeat buyers annually. You will probably notice that most of our stock is dun in color. No special reason, just our preference ;)
