About Our Auction

Organized by Victoria Hospice on behalf of Vancouver Island hospices, the Cycle of Life Tour has raised over $1M since its inception in 2011. Each year over 100 cyclists from across the island ride in support of compassionate end-of-life care.

In a pandemic pivot, the event is going virtual this year. On July 24th, our riders will be pedaling hard in their own communities to complete a virtual cycling challenge with the goal of raising $250,000 to support hospice care on Vancouver Island.

As part of their fundraising initiatives, riders across the island have come together with this silent auction. Showcasing the best of the island, the auction features amazing locally made and sourced items, services and gift certificates to Island restaurants, golf courses and hotels/resorts! Place your bid now for these fantastic items!

After bidding closes, items will be made available for pick-up in the community closest to you*: Campbell River, Comox, Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo, Duncan or Victoria.

*Please note that larger items are only available for pick up in specific locations as indicated in the description.

About Cycle of Life Tour

The Cycle of Life Tour is an annual cycling fundraiser for hospice care on Vancouver Island.

Due to the pandemic, the 2021 ride will most likely look different than the traditional event, but our riders are still pedalling hard to make a difference for patients and families in need of hospice care.

Hospice care is an incredible community service that provides end-of-life care focused on palliative treatment. Hospice services across the island rely heavily on community donations and events like the Cycle of Life Tour to continue providing care and comfort for dying patients and their families.

Hospice staff and volunteers work to address the needs of the bereaved as well as those of the dying, offering emotional, psychological or spiritual support using a variety of programs geared to all age groups. Each year Vancouver Island hospices help support over 12,000 patients and family members.

The reason for each rider to participate is unique, but ultimately they ride for compassionate end-of-life care in their communities!
Every donation, no matter how small or large, is effective and gratefully appreciated.
