2019 Ride for Children's Rehabilitation Foundation

This year, funds from the auction will fund the Rehabilitation Centre for Children's Bike Days. Every child deserves to experience the freedom of riding a bike, but for a child with a disability it can be incredibly difficult to buy one off a store shelf. Bike Days give families the chance to test drive a variety of adapted bikes under the guidance of a physio and occupational therapist who match children with bikes they can ride safely. In 2019, we hope to hold ten Bike Days throughout the year, giving over 100 children the opportunity to hop on a bike and find a set of wheels that works for them.

The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is a Manitoba charity, dedicated to helping children with disabilities be as independent as possible. We are the fundraising arm for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) and SSCY Centre.

RCC delivers interdisciplinary services at SSCY Centre in Winnipeg and in homes, schools, daycares and communities throughout the province of Manitoba and beyond. Through the generous support of our community members we are able to re-invest funds into the centre, providing a wide-range of recreation programs, supporting clinical services and giving much-needed equipment to children and youth living with disabilities.
