About Our Auction

The Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro strives to raise awareness and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. In 2016-17 we focused our efforts on supporting the families in our community in the following ways:
- Provided scholarships for persons with Down syndrome to attend camps
- Sponsored parents to attend workshops and conferences
- Equiped local hospitals with Welcome Bags to provide new families
- Hosted several family events throughout the year

About Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro

The Down Syndrome Network of Greater Greensboro is committed to enriching the lives of individuals with Down syndrome by connecting with new families, providing social and educational opportunities for our members, and promoting awareness and inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome in our community.

DSNGG is a volunteer-run organization and uses Buddy Walk funds to provide new and expectant family resources and support, family events throughout the year, and therapeutic, recreational and vocational opportunities, along with other services at our center, The STAR (Supported Therapies and Recreation). We also provide scholarships for kids to attend camps and extra therapies, and for parents to attend conferences and continuing education classes, while helping our families to engage in local, state, and national advocacy in conjunction with the National Down Syndrome Society and in collaboration with statewide Down syndrome networks and coalitions.
