About Our Auction
MARC McBRIDE is the illustrator of Emily Rodda's bestselling Deltora Quest series, which has sold over 18 million copies worldwide and has become an anime TV show. He has illustrated more than 200 book covers and 10 picture books. His latest collaboration is with Sofie Laguna on The Glow published by Allen and Unwin.
When Marc visited WA as a presenter at the 2022 TLC Celebrate Reading Conference he very generously painted this spectacular dragon and gifted it to CBCA WA to use for fundraising purposes.
This unique, colourful and distinctive piece measures 800cm x 1170cm framed and has been signed and dated by the artist. It will be offered via Silent Auction with the final bid being accepted at 8.00pm (WA time) on Friday 18 August and the winner announced at the CBCA WA Branch 2023 Children’s Book Week® Dinner that evening.
The reserve price has been set at $110 and bids will be accepted in minimum $10 increments. Bidding is open to all Australia wide and attendance at the Dinner is not mandatory. If the successful bidder is not present on the night then any delivery or freight costs will be at their additional expense.
