About Our Auction

The Blount Mansion Association is hosting an auction to support our horticulture education program. This selection of auction items were crafted by local woodworkers with wood taken from fallen magnolias, box elders, and pine on the Blount Mansion grounds.

We preserve and promote the unique historic value of the Blount Mansion.Blount Mansion is owned and operated by the Blount Mansion Association, a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to preserving Blount Mansion National Historic Landmark, and inspiring an appreciation of national, state, and local history through the site and the lives of those who lived and worked there. Blount Mansion was the home and capitol of the first and only governor of the Southwest Territory, William Blount, his family, and his slaves. Blount was a signer of the U.S. Constitution and played a pivotal role in Tennessee becoming the sixteenth state.
