This event supports Clean Water Action’s efforts to keep our lakes, rivers, streams, oceans and drinking water taps free of pollution, as well as local programs to advance a healthy environment, clean air, renewable energy and green jobs. Clean Water Action and its allied partners recently achieved significant landmark, best in the nation victories - most comprehensive plastic, foam and straw reduction law, and strongest environmental justice law designed to address the cumulative impacts of multiple sources of pollution.

Our important work at Clean Water Action has not skipped a beat as we work now to:

- Permanently ban fracking throughout the Delaware River Watershed to the benefit of four states and water supplies for millions.
- Advance a bill to improve recycling by requiring minimum post-consumer recycled content in packaging products.
- Launch a statewide campaign targeting the proliferation of warehouses and the associated diesel pollution, health and community harms.
- Ensure adoption of the best rules possible under NJ’s historic Environmental Justice (EJ) law that will protect communities overburdened by the cumulative health impacts of polluting facilities.
- Fight for the electrification of NJTransit buses, trucks, and heavy-duty equipment for ports and industrial areas to reduce pollution and drive the green economy.
- Stop dangerous fossil fuel projects including pipelines and power plants.

Clean Water Fund's mission is to develop strong grassroots environmental leadership and to bring together diverse constituencies to work cooperatively for changes that improve their lives, focused on health, consumer, environmental and community problems.

Clean Water Fund's programs build on and complement those of Clean Water Action, a one million member national organization which has helped develop, pass, strengthen and defend the nation's major water and toxics laws such as the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Superfund and others, including their state-level counterparts. Founded in 1972, we work to win strong health and environmental protections by bringing issue expertise, solution-oriented thinking, and people power to the table. We fight for clean water, environmental justice, and environmentally safe jobs and businesses.
