Art For Art Auction

This auction will support the creation of the Beaver Street Art Project. The project was chosen by community vote and will be created by Junker Studios of Chester, VT. The work, made of corten steel and other accents, (with color wash patina added for color at the end), will depict the natural setting of our Valley, the history of human interaction with the landscape through logging and sugaring, and culminate with a 'village scene' with many of Wilmington's iconic buildings included. While we have had support from the VT Arts Council and the Better Places program, we are looking for community support to be able to complete the work. Help us raise the remaining funds!

Wilmington Works is an organization with the mission to 'preserve, improve, and support a vital downtown that benefits the entire Wilmington, VT community. The Beaver Street Art Project will transform the retaining wall at Beaver Street and East Main Street into a work of art that reflects our community -- its natural settings, history, and the buildings that surround us in the Valley. The work by Junker Studio of Chester, VT was chosen by the town in 2019. The project has been supported by The VT Arts Council and the partners in the Better Places Grant Program.
