AN UNLIKELY AUCTION FOR BINC 2021 - THE BOOK INDUSTRY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Welcome to our 2021 online auction to support Binc. This year we are raising funds to support Binc's SURVIVE TO THRIVE campaign, a program that will give grants of $10,000 to bookstores facing economic hardship due to COVID. Our goal for the Unlikely Story auction is to raise $10,000 to underwrite one grant. Under a matching grant initiative, the Kinney family will donate an additional $10,000 to support a second bookstore. 100% of the net proceeds from this auction will go directly to Binc.

Binc is a non-profit, founded by booksellers, for booksellers in need. Independent bookstores are the cultural heart of their communities, a place where authors, readers, books, and ideas come together. The SURVIVE TO THRIVE campaign grew out of the need to support independent bookstores and comic book shops that are facing significant COVID-related hardships.

Please take time to scroll through all of our fabulous auction items donated by An Unlikely Story staff, local neighbor bookstores, authors, illustrators, publishers, book reps and booksellers who lost their jobs due to covid-19. You can bid on Book Bundles, Gift Bundles, Zoom meetings with authors, original art, and even the chance to have a character named after you in an upcoming novel! 1) You need to create an account in order to bid on items.

2) Items are designated by either "BID" or "BUY NOW." For BID items, you can enter either an exact or proxy bid. Proxy bidding places bids on your behalf at the lowest possible increments. Simply enter your maximum bid (the highest amount you are willing to pay). Your maximum bid is only placed when another bidder also bids up to that amount.

3) BUY NOW items are available for immediate purchase and will prompt you to pay right away to secure your receipt of the item. There are multiple quantities of a BUY NOW product so you may purchase more than one.

4) Shipping on the first lot is $8.00. Additional lots will be charged $2.00 for inside the USA. Shipping to Canada is $20.00 with each additional lots at $5.00. Be sure to put in your correct shipping address for fast and precise delivery. WE APOLOGIZE BUT WE CANNOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE USA AND CANADA.
